Property Editor

The Property Editor displays all of the properties of the selected object for viewing or modification. Each object has its own set of properties, therefore the properties displayed in the editor are completely dependent on the selection. The object name is the first property displayed in the Property Editor.

When more than one object is selected, the editor pairs down the properties and allows modification only to the combined (or shared) properties of the selection, such as the name, visibility or lockout group, etc.

Editing Properties

Most properties have options for user selection. Clicking inside the right hand column of any property in the Property Editor will provide either an entry field or a drop down list for property specification and selection.

In addition, some properties have secondary properties for user selection. These properties are displayed with a carrot ► next to the property name, indicating the expansion of additional properties is possible. Click on the ► to expand the second tier of properties.

If you have selected more than one object, their combined (shareable) properties are displayed in the Property Editor. Any change to a property value in this scenario will be reflected in all of the selected objects.

If the property field is blank, the current value for the selected items are not the same (not shared). Only matching values for the selected group are displayed.
