Wink
Wink is a feature provided in the EchoAccess Mobile App that enables physical identification of devices in a space. When the wink command is received, the device, depending on its features, either blinks local LEDs, blinks the controlled load(s), and when available, displays identifying text on the local LCD.
To enable the wink feature for an Access BT Interface or Expansion Bridge from the Connection page, drag the device name to the left, revealing the Wink button.
- For an Access BT Interface, tapping [Wink] triggers the LEDs on the Access BT Interface to blink. LEDs are only visible with the station faceplate removed.
- For an Expansion Bridge, tapping [Wink] wakes the LCD on the front of the device and display's "Wink Command Received".
The device will return to normal operation after 16 seconds. The General Configuration and Space Configuration pages also have a Wink button at the bottom.
To enable the wink feature for an Echo device from the main Configuration page, drag the device name to the left, revealing the Wink button..
Winking a device causes the device to respond by blinking its local LEDs, and for certain devices its connected loads, 8 times over 16 seconds. Wink will auto-clear after 16 seconds and return the device to its normal operation. Using the device's local UI buttons or asserting control during the wink cycle disables wink, restores the previous look, then fades to the new control values.
The individual device configuration pages for most devices also have a Wink button in the lower right corner.
Tapping [Wink] triggers the power and Bluetooth LEDs on the EchoAccess Interface to blink. LEDs are only visible with the station faceplate removed.
Tapping [Wink] triggers the power LED to blink, wakes the LCD on the front of the device, and displays "Wink Command Received".
Tapping [Wink] triggers all button LEDs on the station to blink.
Tapping [Wink] triggers LEDs on the sensor to blink.
- For an Occupancy Sensor or Vacancy Sensor, the dome and the Aux and Mode button LEDs will blink.
- For a Photo Sensor, both the Aux and Mode button LEDs will blink.
Tapping [Wink] triggers local LEDs on the controller to blink and triggers the controlled load(s) to blink.
Tapping [Wink] triggers local LEDs on the controller to blink and triggers the controlled load(s) to blink.
Tapping [Wink] triggers the power LED on the unit to blink, visible only with the cover removed, and triggers the controlled load(s) to blink.
Tapping [Wink] triggers the power LED on the unit to blink.
Tapping [Wink] triggers all button LEDs on the station to blink.
Tapping [Wink] blinks the green Learn/Teach LED and the amber Program Mode LED.
