Clipboard Preferences

When copying a channel, these settings determine how the pasted channel will be treated in regards to groups and presets.

• Click to enable the "Add to the same groups as the original" checkbox when you always want LightDesigner to add the new pasted channel into the same group as the channel that it was originally copied from.
• Click to enable the "Add to the same presets as the original" checkbox when you always want LightDesigner to add the new pasted channel into the same preset as the channel that it was originally copied from.
• You may also choose to have LightDesigner ask, via dialog, at each paste occurrence.

When copying a station, these settings determine how the pasted station will be treated in regards to its control assignments, space scope and processor assignments.

• Click to enable the "Copy the control assignments of the original" checkbox when you always want LightDesigner to add the new pasted station with the same control assignments as the station that it was originally copied from.
• Click to enable "When pasting spaces: Change Control Space properties to the new Space (recommended)" checkbox when you always want LightDesigner to change the control space properties to match the space where the pasted station is located.

• Click to enable the "Copy the processor assignment of the original" checkbox when you always want LightDesigner to assign the assigned processor of new pasted station to the same assigned processor of the copied station.
• Click to enable the "Create new presets for the station" checkbox when you always want LightDesigner to create new presets when the new station is pasted. This selection is un-selectable when "Copy the control assignments of the original" is selected.
• You may also choose to have LightDesigner ask, via dialog, at each paste occurrence.

When copying a space, these settings determine how the pasted space will be treated in regards to its space size, presets and walls.

• Click to enable "Resize original to fit in target space" checkbox when you want LightDesigner to resize the copied space to fit proportionally into the target space that it is pasted into.
• Click to enable "Copy presets" checkbox when you want LightDesigner to copy the presets that affect the original space and make them affect the new pasted space as well.
• Click to enable "Copy walls" checkbox when you want LightDesigner to copy any walls from the original space and past them into the new space.
• You may also choose to have LightDesigner ask, via dialog, at each paste occurrence.
