Extract Project Files

Extract a projects configuration data from a server project using the "Extract Files" feature found in the Project menu, and save that data into a split out *.pcf configuration file.

  1. Extract a project from a server project by selecting "Extract File > Project" from the "Project" menu. The "Project Select" dialog displays for selection which project you want to extract.
  2. Click the checkbox next to the project you want to extract and click [OK]. The dialog displays for selection of a folder location to save the file.
  3. The file name will default to the project name. Browse to the desired folder location and click [Save].The project file will save as a *.pcf file type.

A projects configuration data can be used to manually update a Paradigm Architectural Control Processor (ACP) that is part of a server project system with the most up to date configuration data.

ETC recommends that if you choose to manually update a P-ACP, you must also update the Paradigm Central Control Server (P-CCS) with the new configuration data. Maintaining synchronization of configuration data between these two Paradigm hardware devices also maintains a "no single point of failure" control system.
