Session Name
A session name is used to identify this instance of LightDesigner over the control network; showing online status to other LightDesigner users as well as logging the origin of live edit and live control session changes.
About Session Name
- A session name belongs to the installed application, not a particular LightDesigner configuration file.
- You can change the session name at any time, without having to restart LightDesigner or close the currently open configuration file.
- The previously applied session name is remembered after closing the LightDesigner application, and offered again when LightDesigner is reopened.
- A session name appears as the name of the LightDesigner instance on the Paradigm Network views of other online LightDesigner instances.
- The session name appears in all log entries for the initiating session or archive synchronization to individual Paradigm Architectural Control Processors, as well as any file operations for configuration and firmware files.
- The session name will be used to report online status using standard Net3 sACN status messaging (v2.1).
