Cut, Copy, Paste and Delete Channels
LightDesigner provides multiple methods to cut, copy, and paste a channel into the configured space. You may even cut, copy and paste between open projects.
Cut Channel
- Right-click on an existing channel and select "Cut" from the context menu.
- Select a channel and use keyboard shortcut (Ctrl) + (X) .
- Right-click on a channel name in the Browser and select "Cut" from the context menu.
- Select the channel and select "Cut" from the Edit menu.
Copy Channel
- Right-click on an existing channel and select "Copy" from the context menu.
- Select a channel and use keyboard shortcut (Ctrl) + (C).
- Right-click on a channel name in the Browser and select "Copy" from the context menu.
- Select the channel and select "Copy" from the Editmenu.
Paste Channel
- Right-click on a target point in the Plan workspace and select "Paste" from the context menu.
- Select the target space in the Plan workspace and use keyboard shortcut (Ctrl) + (V).
- Right-click on a channel name in the Browser and select "Paste" from the context menu.
- Select the channel and select "Paste" from the Edit menu.
When copying multiple channels, the relative layout is maintained when pasted, unless the target space is too small to accommodate. User preferences determine the pasted channel(s) behavior including; channel group control and preset control.
Delete Channel
- Right-click on an existing channel and select "Delete" from the context menu.
- Select a channel and press the (Delete) key.
- Right-click on a channel name in the Browser and select "Delete" from the context menu.
- Select the channel and select "Delete" from the Edit menu.
