Cut, Copy, Paste and Delete Spaces
LightDesigner provides multiple methods to cut, copy, paste and delete a space in the configuration. You may even cut, copy and paste between projects.
Cut Space
- Right-click on an existing space and select "Cut" from the context menu.
- Select a space and use keyboard shortcut (Ctrl) + (X) .
- Right-click on a space name in the Browser and select "Cut" from the context menu.
- Select space and select "Cut" from the (Edit) menu.
Copy Space
- Right-click on an existing space and select "Copy" from the context menu.
- Select a space and use keyboard shortcut (Ctrl) + (C).
- Right-click on a space name in the Browser and select "Copy" from the context menu.
- Select space and select "Copy" from the (Edit) menu.
Paste Space
- Right-click on a target point and select "Paste" from the context menu.
- Select the target space and use keyboard shortcut (Ctrl) + (V).
- Right-click on a space name in the Browser and select "Paste" from the context menu.
- Select space and select "Paste" from the (Edit) menu.
When a space has successfully been pasted after a copy, the new space name will be prefixed "Copy of" by default. As well, if copying multiple spaces, the relative layout is maintained when pasted, unless the target space is too small to accommodate.
User preferences determine the pasted space(s) assignments including; space control assignments if copying and pasting within the same project, the space processor assignment, and preset creation are also determined by user preferences.
Delete Space
- Right-click on an existing space and select "Delete" from the context menu.
- Select a space and press the (Delete) key.
- Right-click on a space name in the Browser and select "Delete" from the context menu.
- Select the space and select "Delete" from the (Edit) menu.
Note: Deleting a space will also delete all objects that are included within the space.
