Paradigm Mobile Button Station Application Overview

The Paradigm Mobile Button Station application interfaces with the Paradigm control system by connecting over Wi-Fi to the associated Paradigm Architectural Control Processor (P-ACP, Paradigm Processor). The Paradigm Mobile Button Station provides eight virtual buttons that can be assigned any valid button control functionality. Once assigned, this functionality can be accessed via the mobile application running on a compatible device.

Note: See the current Paradigm Mobile Button Station App Release Note for version and hardware compatibility details.

  1. Install the Paradigm Mobile Button Station application onto your compatible device.
  2. Connect the Paradigm Processor to the Wi-Fi network.
  3. Drag and drop an instance of the Paradigm Mobile Station into the LightDesigner Plan workspace.
  4. Note: When there is more than one Paradigm Processor configured to the space, select the specific P-ACP that the Mobile Button Station application should connect to from the Paradigm Mobile Station Properties.

  5. In Program Simulate, double-click the Paradigm Mobile Station icon in the plan workspace to simulate the station.
  6. Assign the station control functions accordingly.
  7. Unless you are working in Live Edit Mode, where the edits are made to the system live, you must upload the edited configuration to the system. See Upload a Project
  8. Connect the mobile device (hardware) to the Wi-Fi network.
  9. From your mobile device, download, install, and launch the Paradigm Mobile Button Station application.
  10. Connect the Paradigm Processor (P-ACP) to the application, associating it by the P‑ACP's IP Address.
  11. Select the processor, and then select the appropriate station configuration instance from the list of those hosted by the processor. The eight button station will display for use.
  12. Note: If you assigned a Connection Password in LightDesigner, you will be required to enter the password before the configuration instances will display. You can choose to save the password to the application for the next login attempt.

Note: Standard button themes are stored in the Paradigm Mobile Button Station application. To change the theme, select the Preferences button located at the top right corner of the application window, and then select a standard theme from the Button Theme menu.
