ETC was presented two awards at the first ever Dane County Inclusive Employer Recognition Event on July 30th. Hosted by the Dane County Department of Human Services Supported Employment Provider Coalition (SEPC) and Inter Agency Transition
Team (IATT), the event coincided with the last week of Disability Pride Month. During the event, 850 employers across Dane County were recognized for their work with supported employment agencies and school districts to provide people with disabilities
an opportunity for employment in our community.
ETC is proud to announce that along with being one of the 850 organizations invited to attend the event, the company also received two awards. The first of the awards presented to ETC was the Most Diverse Player (MDP) award, given to the employer with
the most diverse workforce hiring many people with disabilities. The second award presented to ETC was the Longevity Award, recognizing ETC’s thirty-year history of employing individuals with disabilities. ETC currently employs five assisted employees,
four of which are in the manufacturing department, while the fifth works in facilities.
Val Farace, VP of Human Resources at ETC, said “We are honored to receive these awards from the Dane County Department of Human Services. Hiring employees with disabilities is one example of ETC’s employee-centric culture and our commitment to creating
a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.” ETC is dedicated to the continued pursuit of equity, diversity, and inclusion at all levels, as well as eliminating barriers that may hinder employment opportunities for those with disabilities.
