ETC announces console-training courses in Russia
Date Posted: 9/20/2016
ETC is launching a new program in Russia, offering a regular schedule of hands-on console-training courses taught by ETC-certified instructors. Each month, ETC is hosting free trainings on
Eos-
and
Cobalt
-family consoles for beginners and advanced users.
Every training course has a limited number of seats available, so there will be no more than two attendees per console. "By keeping the class sizes small, we can make sure that each attendee can try out what they're learning as they're learning it," says ETC Technical Sales Specialist Vladimir Kraynov. "And they can get more one-on-one attention from the instructors, in order to get all of their questions answered."
All of ETC's training courses are led by experienced programmers who have extensive lighting experience at Russian theaters. They have all gone through a special ETC training program in order to become certified as an official console trainer.
"These training courses are a great way for programmers and lighting designers to improve their skills and become more familiar with the desks they use every day," explains ETC Field Project Coordinator Florian Maier. "With trainings offered every month, they're able to find a class that can fit into their busy schedules."
The first series of ETC console-training classes is being held at the GST/Coda Audio Show Room in Moscow. On September 26th, ETC offered a Level I course for Eos-family consoles, and on September 27th, they hosted a Level II Eos-family training. ETC will have courses on the Cobalt family, with a Level I training scheduled for October 31st, and a Level II course on November 1st.
