New camera-ready ETC products at BroadcastAsia2015
Date Posted: 5/14/2015
At the BroadcastAsia2015 tradeshow, from June 2nd to 5th, at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, on stand 4D1-06, ETC will highlight a unique range of LED luminaires, lighting control systems and other products for studio use.
LED luminaires
With fixed-field and zoom lens tubes, CYC and Fresnel adapters, and a variety of attachments, the
Source Four® LED Series 2 luminaire
can be transformed to fit the needs of broadcast-lighting professionals. "The
Source Four LED system
is a gaffer's dream," says ETC Fixtures Product Manager Jim Uphoff. "Instead of having to take a large inventory of fixtures to a shoot, they can simply swap out the front end of the Source Four LED Series 2 luminaire to get the right tool for each job." ETC will show the new
Source Four LED Fresnel adapter
for the first time in Asia. The Fresnel adapter attaches to the Source Four LED Series 2 luminaire, turning it into a smooth washlight with advanced optics. Show attendees can also see the
Source Four LED CYC adapter
, which delivers smooth coverage for backdrops. And visitors to ETC's BroadcastAsia booth will experience the Source Four LED Series 2 arrays, including Tungsten HD and Daylight HD, which produce bright, tunable white light that looks great on screen - even when shot with high-definition or high-speed cameras - and the Lustr® array with its bold, saturated colors.
The new
ColorSource™ PAR
fixture will also be display, for venues where bright, energy-efficient lighting is needed on a limited budget. Thanks to its mix of red, green, blue and lime emitters, the ColorSource PAR produces ETC-quality light with more natural, richer color than other budget-friendly LEDs are capable of.
The LED version of ETC's popular
Source Four Mini
fixture will also be available for demonstration. It comes in portable, ceiling-mount and track-mount versions. The
Source Four Mini LED
is the perfect detail light on set.
Controls
Visitors to the booth will see the easy-to-navigate
Gio® desk
. It handles 2,048 to 32,768 outputs without co-processing, giving users the power of ETC's flagship
Eos Ti® console
in a tidy footprint.
ETC's controls display will also include the
ETCnomad Puck™ mini-computer
, which is designed for situations when lighting professionals can't bring their consoles with them, and for small studios that use today's LED technology. Supporting both
Eos®
- and
Cobalt®-family
software, it allows users to work with the advantages of PC-based control but with hardware provided and serviced by ETC. ETCnomad Puck can serve as a primary controller, a backup or a client device, and can also be used offline.
