Spanish flamenco lights up with ETC’s Source Four LED

The flamenco dance company De sangre y raza has drawn praise from visitors and lighting professionals alike with its self-titled production at the Infanta Isabel Theatre in Madrid, thanks in no small part to the use of ETC
Source Four® LED Series 2 luminaires
in the wings, which were used to highlight the dancers.
Lit by Carlos Fajardo, the production was a joint effort by dancers, choreographers and designers, with the aim to create accessible dance - as they say, "art for everybody" - for the full-color production of the famously emotional and passionate dance style.
Fajardo comments: "We were really impressed with how well the Source Four LED fixtures were able to highlight the dancers' colorful costumes while still maintaining natural skin tones. By being able to instantly call on a wide range of different colors, the fixtures made the job of lighting the dancers so much easier."
ETC's Source Four LED Series 2 range has received praise from users and reviewers. In the October 2014 issue of
Lighting and Sound International
magazine, Rob Halliday wrote that "it is almost impossible to overstate the significance and importance of this product." By filling in previously impossible-to-reach areas of the color spectrum, it provides stunning, high-quality light in an energy-saving, almost maintenance-free unit.
The luminaires were provided by ETC's Spanish dealer Stonex, which specializes in offering solutions for both the entertainment- and architectural-lighting industries, designing, supplying, installing and supporting lighting systems across the country.
