All consoles can do the same things in reality, but for me the quickest and easiest way to get projects completed on time is to use a Hog 4. Having a console that is reliable, available worldwide and straightforward to program is the reason I use Hog 4 consoles. With the music festival season now running almost the entire year, having the “change-type” feature is a time saver and allows me to easily move a show from one lighting system to another.

On the recent Franz Ferdinand European tour - which had a lighting system, lasers, a media server and a remote camera system - the entire system was controlled by a Full Boar using two additional DP8000s, all supplied by Neg Earth Ltd. I was able to preprogram the entire system, using a visualizer in my studio combined with Hog 4PC and a programming wing, take that show file and start the tour with minimal fuss or time. Having Hog 4PC is such a time saver in terms of patching shows and doing general housekeeping on show-files. Being able to quickly update show-files on the fly as changes occur enables me to stay on top of busy schedules. "
