Configuring DMX Gateways

Right-click on a gateway from either the "Online Devices" table or the "Device Configurations" table and select "Edit Device Configuration" from the context menu. Alternatively, you may select a Gateway and choose "Edit Device Configuration" from the (Edit) menu or double-click the "Status" cell of the device row to be edited.

If the selected device is from the "Online Devices" table, the dialog displays with four tabs including "Identity", "DMX Ports", "AIP" and "About". If the selected device is from the "Device Configurations" table, the dialog contains only the first three tabs.

Each tab is provided for setting the write-able properties and displaying the read-only properties of a Net3 DMX Gateway.

Note: The "AIP" tab is not available for the Net3 One-Port DMX Gateway.

When this dialog is opened from a selected device in the Device Configurations table, selecting the [OK]button saves changes to the configuration record only and does not make any changes to any online device.

When the dialog is opened from a selected device in the Online Devices table, selecting the [OK]button sends changes to the online device only and does not affect any bound entries in the "Device Configurations" table.

Selecting the[Cancel] button causes GCE to ignore all changes that were made and close the dialog.
