Each Paradigm Processor (P‑ACP) in the system features an input/output universe viewer available in the processor's Web UI. This view allows a simplified view of all universes affecting the processor's control, including:
Note: Depending on the Web UI access settings configured in LightDesigner, you may be required to log in to the Web UI before you can access the Universe View. All user levels of access to the Processor Web UI can access the Universe View but you must be logged in. See Project Properties for details on setting a Processors Web UI Access level using LightDesigner.
Note: If there are no configured input or output universes in the configuration, the Universe View will not be selectable through the Web UI.
Note: The Universe View will not display other universes, whether present within the Paradigm configuration or not, except those that relate specifically to the individual Paradigm Processor that is being viewed.
Select a universe filter to display its results in the Universe View. Available filter options include DMX A (either Input or Output), DMX B (Output), and sACN Universe # (Input/Output).
Note: The Universe View refreshes once per second to reflect the current values. If the selected universe becomes unavailable due to a Live Edit change in the configuration, the view will revert to the default universe (e.g. the first configured output for the processor or the first present universe if no output universes are configured or present).
The Universe View provides visual indication of which source is providing the levels of control (winning source). Each source will have a unique color. Selecting an address of a specific color will provide identification of the source in the output details listed below the grid.
Selecting a channel in the Universe View displays its details in the details panel located just below the universe grid.
The Universe View provides visual indication of which channel is currently selected in bright orange, and when the selected channel is part of a multi-parameter fixture those channels (fixture footprint) are outlined in a darker orange.
Example: For example, selecting the intensity channel for a RGB luminaire will displays the intensity channel details in the details panel and highlights the related fixture elements such as the red, green, and blue LED channels in the grid, basically indicating the footprint of the luminaire in the universe grid.
Only one channel can be selected at a time. Selecting a new channel deselects the previous channel. Details of the selected channel displays in the details panel located just below the universe grid.
By default, the Universe View fills the width of the available window size. To modify the grid view, increase or decrease the "Row Size" setting. The "Row Size" setting persists when changing the universe filter, and remains when the Paradigm Processor's Web UI is refreshed. This setting is a single instance setting and does not change the Row Size for any other Web UI for other Paradigm Processors.
