Josh Allen, lighting designer, Theatre Consultants Collaborative, Inc.
An award-winning lighting designer, Josh has designed more than 150 productions for theater, dance, and television nationwide. His experience includes nearly four years representing dimming, lighting, and automated-rigging manufacturers in the Carolinas with W.H. Onley Co. He was also worked in installation management for a theatrical systems integrator, production management for the New York City/Brooklyn Summer Concert Series, and lighting direction for various television and film studios. Josh holds a bachelor of fine arts in technical theatre from Ohio’s Otterbein College, and is a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829.

Patrick Boozer, lighting designer
Emmy® Award-winning lighting director and programmer Patrick Boozer began his career as a freelance electrician and stage manager in regional theaters around the country. Currently Patrick specializes in large televised concert events and awards shows, programming exclusively on the ETC Eos® lighting-control platform. Annual credits include The Academy Awards®, Grammy® Awards, CMA Awards®, Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, iHeartRadio Music Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards™, So You Think You Can Dance, Miss USA®, Miss Universe® and many others. |

Al Crawford, lighting designer and founder of Arc3design
Al Crawford has been the lighting director of the world-renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater since 1998. Now in his 17th season with the famed dance company, he has produced the lighting for Ailey in virtually every major theater, performing arts center and opera house on the planet, having toured to 48 states and over 65 countries. |

Fred Foster, founder and CEO of ETC, Inc.
While studying at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the 70’s, Fred, his brother Bill and some friends developed and marketed a groundbreaking lighting-control console for theater. ETC was born in 1975. Foster went on to perform virtually all roles for the company over time: from original inventor/engineer to industrial designer, tech support expert, salesman, marketer, chief operating officer, to president and CEO.
Foster focuses his energies now on ETC’s global strategy and product development. Known for his counter-corporate-culture jeans and Birkenstock sandals, Foster also conceptualized ETC’s acclaimed headquarters with its theatrical 1940’s “Town Square.” Foster is also the prime force behind ETC’s student support and mentoring efforts.
Foster has received industry-wide honors: the USITT Special Citation “for significant contributions to the advancement of equipment design and manufacturing in the field of lighting technology for the performing arts,” the 2007 Wally Russell Award, and the 2010 Gottelier Award. He continues to be ranked in the top ten of the “Most Powerful People” in the industry, by Live Design Magazine. |
