Working with Pages
Selecting Pages
To select a page, click on the page's thumbnail image in the Page Browser or click on the page's name in the Object Browser. The selected page will display in the Page workspace and its properties will display in the Property Editor, unless any controls are also selected. Only one page can be selected at one time.
Cut, Copy and Paste Pages
Cut, copy and paste features in ControlDesigner are very similar to the same features for a personal computer. To cut, copy a page to the clipboard, or paste a page from the clipboard, use any of the following methods:
- Right-click on the page's thumbnail in the Page Browser and select "Cut" or "Copy" from the context menu.
- Right-click on the page's name in the Object Browser and select "Cut" or "Copy" from the context menu.
- Right-click on the page background in the Page Workspace and select "Cut" or "Copy" from the context menu.
To paste a page that was either cut or copied to the clipboard, right-click in the Page Browser and select "Paste" from the context menu. All controls that were on the original page will be added to the new pasted page.
You can paste a page between ControlDesigner configurations. The new page, and any controls on it, will use the same theme that is set for the configuration that the page is pasted into.
Delete a Page
There are two ways to delete a page from the configuration:
- Right-click on the page's thumbnail in the Page Browser and select "Delete" from the context menu.
- Right-click on the page's name in the Property Editor and select "Delete" from the context menu.
A
default page cannot be deleted from the configuration. If you wish to delete the current default page, you must first assign a different page as the default page.
