Most stations in LightDesigner are provided with default functionality and behaviors based on the typical system functionality. These control assignments and functions can be customized as required by assigning station control functions.
Station control functions can be assigned using a manual method of individually assigning a function to each control on a station or by using the "Smart Assign Control Function" and "Smart Paste Control Function" features.
Specific stations, such as the Occupancy and Light Sensors, require additional custom programming. Refer to Add Sensors for more information.
Each Paradigm Inspire Station (hardware) includes a three position Page selection switch that enables a user to change the station function at the station. By default, all three pages are provided functional defaults in LightDesigner when the station is added into a configuration. Manual configuration for each control on each Page is available in LightDesigner. The best method for assigning Page control functions is while viewing the Inspire Station in simulation.
You can simulate a stations control behavior and features in the Program / Simulate view.
LightDesigner provides three methods in addition to the Property Editor to assign control functions:
Station controls can be simulated in the Program/Simulate view, using either the Plan workspace or Sheets tabs.
